Hi List,

Well there is no Spridgetly 'traffic', at least in my in box and having
little to no Spridgetly news I am posting my opinion on Iran. So, delete
now or read on and argue with me if you like. I guess some of you are
Trump voters and will neither admit you were mistaken or don't believe you
are but can't put together a justifiable argument. Well, we only know what
happened when Trump was elected and what sort of worse for America it might
have been (or not) if Kamala had been elected. Well I am not an American
citizen and didn't get to vote. I am also not wealthy so didn't donate
money to any political party. So, my comments are NOT political, they are
my opinions on things as I see them looking from a neutral position.

Well taking Maduro out of Venezuela, whether legal or not was a good thing
in my opinion because it weakened China in lots of different ways including
making them less bold and therefore made them less likely to make a
reckless decision. In the UK if the last government trusted China too
much, this one isn't much better.

Believing Iran was planning to create a nuclear weapon and use it is
something I believe. I mean if you have more oil than you can ever use why
would you need nuclear power, unless you thought you might help to reduce
global emissions and simply make money letting others do it. That's a
simple argument no-one seems to put and I can't think why. Attacking Iran
whether legal or not to ensure there are no longer a nuclear threat does
seem like a good idea to me.

However, there are some 'spanners in the works'. Being friendly to Putin
who is helping Iran seems at odds with the military objectives of
neutralising Iran. On the other hand attacking Iran once more weakens
China which I think is a good thing.

Trump flip-flopping on whether American needs help to deal with Iran or
doesn't and then insulting all your old friends and allies is never going
to help America and came across to many as childish and bullying.

Not understanding how NATO works and then insulting it because it doesn't
do what you think it should do, even when it is not supposed to, is never
going to help America.

Believing Europe is weak militarily and won't pay for it's defence and will
have Russia rolling tanks over it in days after America leaves NATO is
something for the Kool-Aid drinkers and Fox news viewers. Likewise America
pulling out of NATO and all its bases in Europe would work out badly for
America. However, saying you will do something as a bullying threat is for
fools. NATO would indeed be weaker and worse off without American in it
(though Canadians and Danes might disagree) but the flip side is that
America would be worse off and weaker outside NATO (not just airfields
think intelligence and RAF Croughton for starters). Also think about the
U2 (or whatever) flights out of Akrotiri in Cyprus, which by a quirk of
history is Sovereign British territory. America is making those flights
for a good reason so no-one tell me how many spy satellites you have. No,
I haven't broken the official secrets act or anything like that because I
read it in the Times newspaper (the attack on Akrotiri was seemingly not
the runway as first reported but the American hanger that houses the U2 (or
whatever).

Also forgot all those comments about how much America brings and
spends in local communities in Europe. My experience as a veteran is that
the UK buys local abroad and if you are in Akrotiri, in Cyprus (and I was
twice) the local RAF shop will contain packets of fries (we call crisps)
that has a Zebra on them. To a brit that means they are Zebra flavoured
but from memory I think they were ready salted. However, go anywhere in
the world, including the UK, and go to the USAF shop (BX) and there is no
local goods, rather everything is American and shipped from America.

Apart from the many insulting and ignorant comments I have read from
Americans (and more recently Argentinians) some believe Britain no longer
has a Navy simply because it didn't have a spare ship to send to Cyprus (it
didn't need to send a ship there is a military runway at Akrotiri) Well we
do still have a navy including nuclear powered nuclear submarines with
nuclear weapons. Also we had to handle a russian submarine threat which
had to be closely monitored about the same time Trump was saying Britain
wasn't helping him, well he wasn't helping is monitor the russian threat.

Some Americans are concerned that having burned through a massive stock of
missiles of various types America is weak and vulnerable. It is weaker but
that doesn't mean vulnerable as the only 'outfit' that might kick its ass
would be Europe and they have no plans to, despite being insulted and
treated so shabbily. Russia is not a threat to NATO or the US and neither
is China. America is however, much poorer but only if it wants to
restock. But while America keeps insulting NATO countries for not spending
enough on defence and boasting about how much it spends maybe it could
consider spending less?

I don't know much about the Petrodollar but it's on its way out from what I
can tell and that will be a price America has paid for its actions of late

Will America cease to be a superpower, well I guess with a massive amount
of debt even without replacing all its missile stocks (that will take years
as well as a lot of money) it still will be, but a smaller one.

Has America made a fool of itself and lost the respect of many nations?
Well I guess maybe but perhaps more accurately it has given ammunition to
it's enemies which hostile nations (communists: Russia, China and N.Korea)
will use against it or more likely help others to use against it.

I guess that 'someone' has got rich out of this but most others will be
poorer long term.

Does Israel run America and Zionists will control the world, I don't think
so.

So, how is your Sprite running? Mine is getting closer for a trip to the
rolling road and is running ok. Also because the top speed of my Sprite
was only 115 mph I knew it didn't have all the power it should have. Well
another 6 or 7 mph more might not seem much but that's actually a lot of
power less. How do I know? Well I have CDa data from real life full scale
wind tunnel testing for a start. The rolling road data when I get it will
enable me to update my spreadsheet and I can then 'model' that data for a
standard Spridget and various modifications.

Regards

Daniel - my other books are not about Spridgets!
