I'd also avoid Vermont American. Very poor quality. Most of my taps are either TRW, or Brubaker. I have some Japanese taps that are also very good. The problem with most Chinese taps is soft steel. Be sure to use lubricate the tap well when you chase the threads. A thread cutting oil is best, and readily available in the plumbing department. Cheers, Dave Ambrose |
