If memory serves, and there's the chance it might not, the 4-speed
transmissions from B210s and 210s would work. The B210 5-speed will not, hence
the need to know the 60 numerical designation, etc.

Actually, Howard, I have the list of trannies that Paul A. listed as working
for A-series transplants. He lists some of the B210 as working -- just not
preferred.
If all else fails, that one may work for you.

Subject: [Spridgets] Datsun Tranny-Thank you
Last week I posted a question about a Datsun 5 Speed that I heard was for
sale. I needed to verify the serial number and also needed to know if this
was from a 210 or a B210.. A bunch of you jumped right in and helped in a
variety of ways. Since that time, I've been away and totally forgot thank
each of you independently, so now I'm doing that to you as a group. The
tranny
turned out to be from a B210, not a 210. The seller had it for sale for
$150 and advertised it as being appropriate for a BMC in-line A-Series
engine. This was not the case.
Again, a hearty thanks to all of you who responded.
