I seem to remember that when I was young and innocent I fitted the
distributer in a mini 180 degrees out but also didn't realise that Number
one cylinder was always at the radiator end of the engine,  The engine ran
fine for a few years until a garage mechanic helpfully re-fitted the
ignition leads in the accepted order !
