Not a Mini specifically, but I did see the "Push-me-pull-me" Chevy
Citation at the GM Heitage Center a few years ago. It had two 2.8L V6's
in it, one in front and one in back just like this Mini. AFAIK this car
was a one-off prototype.
 
Parked not far from it was another 12 cylinder experiment from the early
80's, in which a V12 was stuffed into a Caprice.
