Shifter are different from smooth to rib case trannys. The length
between the large and small balls are
different. Smooth being longer. I have overcome this with a washer under
each bolt on the bottom of the
plate. The 2 piece shifter will not work in the metal shift housing and
all I have are smooth case shifters.
I hate the witches hat boot so I did what I had to and it works fine.
