I have a Longman head. It's got 11 holes in it, use the ones that match your
block. There isn't any more to it. If you have a 9 stud block, the other two
holes are useful indicators if your head gasket has blown ;-0.
I have a relatively cheap Longman head, it's ok. A friend of mine has a
similarly spec'd engine with a Bauchman head and he's getting 150+ HP and 112
ft-lb of torque (a good 25 hp more than I).
