Hmmmm.... This sounds kinda like the reverse of the problem I have with my
fuel gauge. When I first got the car the gauge didn't work at all. I
dropped the fuel tank and cleaned it out. When I saw the condition of the
sending unit, I reasoned that was the problem and replaced it with one from
VB. Once back together, the durned thing now registers 1/4 when the tank is
full and goes down from there. With all the other issues this has been very
low on my priority list so I haven't got to fixing it yet.
