They go between the front mounting point for the rear springs, and the floor
of the car. They have the effect of raising the ride height a little

Not long ago, someone posted a link to a picture of 4 short bars with
2 offset holes in each bar. I deleted the message thinking I'd never
use that info, but . . . now I'd like to take a second look. What was
the link to the pics. I think the consensus was that the bars were
used to raise the rear bumper on 1500 cars to meet crash standards.
