I think it's hard to say Jack, but that may be the case.
I have the original spare tire strap with the two steel hooks.
But I don't think that material looks like modern day cotton webbing strap
material.
It looks like something else, but I am not sure what that may be.
In addition, my spare tire strap had faded over the years.
It seems to have a slight green tinge to it instead of black. Maybe that's the
originl color. Not sure.
In any case I thought I might make a duplicate of the spare tire strap as well.
