Follow a logical sequence starting with the simplest things and working
toward the most difficult (and expensive). Alignment first and tires as
mentioned by Bob. If you rebuilt everything else, it would seem to be an
adjustment problem. I've never done a steering rack on a Spridget but I have
done it on a MG TC. The shims in the rack are exceedingly important to be at
the right tolerances.
