A couple of questions.
What kind of cap is on the expansion tank, screw on or pressure cap
like the radiator ?
Is the over flow line below the cap or above it like the radiator?
If it is the latter then the pressure cap should be on the over flow
tank and a cap to just keep the coolant in should be on the
radiator. In theory it should not make any difference but I found it
did on my car. Having two pressure caps in the system just did not
work. Also I have adapted a solid brass over flow tank from some
where (1500?) to the bugeye so that may make a difference.
