Wellll..... It became profitable, yes, but "very" would be a stretch
considering what has to be done to get the oil out of the shale and
considering the amounts of oil that can be extracted in this manner.
Recall, however, that the price of oil going up is what made this technology
profitable so it is still relatively expensive to do.
