Well, since you asked, tell your friend to box 'em up and UPS them to
Jim Taylor in Bartlesville, OK (918.333.3444). Jim does superb work on
SU carbs and fuel pumps. His prices are VERY competitive and his
turnaround time is short. No financial interest here, Jim just delivers
an outstanding product at a great price and I appreciate that... just my
2-cents-worth.

Subject: [Spridgets] Carburetor Question

A friend just got a 1970 MG Midget. The car seems to be in pretty good
condition. No rust - the paint and interior need some work. The motor is
running. He took the a car a shop. They said the twin SU's were in sad
shape and the compression was all the same and excellent. He asked me
about carburetors. Wrong person as i know very little so i thought i
would ask the group. If he should rebuild the SU's or run a different
carburetor. What they are running as far as model and size 38, 40 or 45
MM. What manifold they are using? What is the best place to find or buy
the parts? He is wondering which way to go and is having a hard time.

I am glad my carburetors are fine. All the options sound like money to
me. He plans to join the group in the future. He tossed a coin and the
car won. So for now he is with out a computer.

  Vigil
