Dve, worn needle bearings in/on the countershaft will do this. But regardless
of the various possibilities, tear down is in order. The repair is tedious but
not complicated. I would repair instead of replacing it, unless you know and
can completely trust your replacement source.

Like the subject says, my rib-cage tranny will drop out of 4th gear!
But... just the slightest pressure on the shifter will keep it IN gear...
Is there an adjustment I can do to fix this??
Or is it "replace the box" time?
TIA
