Ah but the price of scrap aluminum these days makes em worth something ;)
And besides, I have made one out of 3, but now I have 6 dead ones and
not enough parts to make one good one. But the 67 came with 2 ribcases
and 2 1098s, 1 of which I fired up today and it runs very well. I even
ran it thru the gears while running on the garage floor, and each gear
works but it's still not a real test of the tranny.
I'll toss the 1098/rib in the 67 and drive it around the block before I
get the front end on to check the tranny.
