Unless you wired it yourself you'll never know what it's wired with
unless you LOOK.
Why take a chance when it's so easy to just check the wire size before
uprating the breaker?
It's also possible Linda if the breaker is older and has been tripped
numerous times before that it is getting weak and simply needs
replaced with a same sized breaker.
