Thanks very much to you, PPP, and Scott Sprangers for
your support as always. It was a great weekend, with
meeting John Sprinzel being a true highlight. The man
absolutely crackles with life.
The biggest difference in the car vs. last year was
the suspension geometry being right via Dave Grandeffo
from the list - you saw the pyrometer readings to
prove it. The new camshaft also really opened up the
power band, allowing it to really pull from 4500 RPM.
Unfortunately, oil pressure dropped during the qual
race to 15 psi, and we put it away for the weekend. We
appear to have caught it before anything got hurt, and
we're very sure it's the oil pump (possibly done while
installing the cam), but it will all come apart
anyway, starting tonight when the family goes to
sleep.
