David,
I change my bugeye over from the 4-blade steel fan to the plastic blade. There 
was a definite improvement in cooling. The plastic fan moves more air for 
several reasons. 1) the profile of the blades, 2) more of them, and 3) they are 
closer to the radiator pulling more air through it when you are stopped.
