I emailed Jim directly about this too. What I did on my Sprite is to put the grommets in boiling water, then take the container with the water and grommets out to the car. Pull one grommet out with a needlenose pliers, by the time you get the grommet near the hole it belongs in, the grommet should be cool enough to touch, but soft enough to go into the hole just fine, with no lube. Then on to the next grommet (one at a time to keep them pliable). Dan G |
