| Dick, the answer is to put a 12-volt battery in. A ballast resistor ahead of the coil and replace the bulbs as they slowly give up the ghost. In the meantime you will have the brightest 6-volt bulbs around! And your starter will really spin the engine over, too. You will have to do something about the generator, but a Delco alternator will sort that for you. David Lieb |
