Peter C. and I saw the Futurliner at the Iola, WI car show. For a $1
donation, you could go inside and tour it. If you ever get the chance, go
see it. It is pretty spectacular for it's time.

Subject: no LBC........ GM Futurliner bus Barrett-Jackson
Spridgets,
I got up way too early this morning probably because I was thinking how
little work I have done on my car and how much Frank has done on his car
even with a hernia. So I put on TV (Frank would have gone to the garage) to
watch Barrett Jackson's highlights special and saw first hand the bidding of
the 1950 *GM *Futurliner bus. It totally woke me up with the record winning
bid of around 4.2 million and they said the owner was hoping for 600K. But
when I did a search because I wanted to know if Raymond Loewy was the
industrial designer and I found an article from Hemmings stating the bidder
backed out. I tried to continue the article but I'm a little lost anyone
know the results? The articles are below.
