Paint thinner is too expensive and evaporates too fast. Use Kerosene or Diesel fuel. After it is saturated with gunk, then use it to kill the weeds. Kerosene and Diesel are both biodegradable. So is styrofoam, if you wait long enough. I think the half-life of a styrofoam cup is something like 80 years. The best thing you can do in a parts washer is install a strainer to catch the big chunks of gunk. |
