Mom rode a Harley. I never wanted what Mom drove.
I had a 45 for a couple weeks when I was 15, but I kept setting my leg on
fire trying to start it (no air cleaner). Even though Harleys are on the
cutting edge of 1920's technology, the BSA I got when I was 19 seemed much
more like a real motorcycle. If it weren't for the helmet law, I'd probably
be tempted to get a Triumph, but I'm too vain about my hair to wear a
helmet. It's probably just as well.
