Drum Brake Hubs

I just got an email from a friend I did not know that I had. He has a Bugeye 
and recently acquired a 1966 parts car. He would like to convert the Bugeye 
to disk brakes, but the parts car has wire wheels and he wants to retain the 
stock Bugeye disks. His question is whether the disk brake rotor will bolt 
up to Bugeye hubs and work or whether he needs to acquire disk-wheel 
disk-brake hubs. Any good answers?
