Incorrect bumper versatility

....I have a line on a great deal for a 60's Sprite/Midget front bumper...

I would like to put in on my bumperless 74 Midget but asides from having to 
listen to the "correctness" cops I was really concerned with the placement 
and size of the mounting holes.

Has anybody done or see this likely common switcheroo?
