With respect to your compression readings, Mark. They are excellent and I would 
expect these of an "H" (8.8-1) motor
in good shape.

It is also possible your engine may not be
as it was when it come off the production
line?? Mayhap it has been "breathed upon"
or previously overhauled to one extent or
another by a previous owner??
