Brad,
It looks like a Bugeye emblem but it isn't. The trunk emblems used on 
the last Sprites were approximately 4" in diameter or roughly the same 
size as the MG trunk emblem. The AH Sprite emblems had pegs that 
lined-up with the standard mounting holes in the trunk lid.

I've got an NOS example of one of these somewhere in my NOS inventory.
