No apologies, Daniel!! I lived in England for 6 years and you have by
far the best driving roads for a Spridget!! Anywhere in the Lake
District, Scotalnd, Wales or the Cotswalds come immediately to mind
though there are many, many others.

I recall particularly one special road....

Turn north from the A40 at Flackwell Heath and procede along
Whitehouse Lane until you come to a Y junction. Keep right and then
left on Riding Lane at the junction. Follow Riding Lane to Forty
Green. Turn left at Forty Green and immediately right on Brindle Lane.
First on the right is The Royal Standard of England, an original
English Ale House and the only one in England allowed to use the
"Royal Standard" in it's name. It is said Charles I hid there briefly
whilst avoiding the nasty consequences offered him by Ollie Cromwell.
Today it offers excellent food and one of the best red English ales
you've ever tasted.

Now admitedly, the road is pretty tame on the drive TO this location.
Leaving several hours later at closing time however one finds the
country lanes far more challenging. You have to drive... The ale will
have seen to it that you're in no fit state to walk.....

Cheers!!
