Don't remember too much from my MGA days, but one MAJOR area you want to look
at is the "L" area which is formed by the sill, rear door plate/rear quarter
panel. This is where the body can "bend" and/or come apart...main structual join
point.
Poorly fitting doors (out of line gaps) are a
tip-off to this.
If this area of the car is internally free of
deep rust/deterioration, then structually you're in good shape.
