I try to get everything sent by post to avoid the UPS fiasco. And, then
there's still duty.

PS: of course if you buy one of those items locally, then that distributor
already paid those fees and they're now built into the price.

On the other hand, I am somewhat mifffed at all of the hidden charges. What
the heck was NAFTA supposed to do again??? I got shafted for currrency
conversion by the credit card company, shafted for the border crossing by
UPS, and shafted on shipping charges as well.
