"Do plugs just go bad?" Yeah...they can. They're "sealed" units, after all. And you never know what sort of treatment spark plugs were given as they were shipped from factory to store, stocked, etc. Some guy drops a package of 'em before they get to you...and there you are! 3 survive the fall but 1 "unseals" and/or develops a hairline insulator crack, etc. which decides to "show up" after 2,326.5 miles in service.
