That's my point. Are you sure of that, or is that just what you've heard?
If you have personal experience with cars that run IRL, CART, F-1, or NASCAR
then
that would be persuasive. But the guy that told me this was the lead tech
in a
shop that built NASCAR racers. A buddy of mine who has been building SCCA
cars for years
uses Grade 8 in EVERYTHING....just because it's Grade 8. No really sound
reason.
AN or certified airframe bolts are a different story, but us little vintage
Spridget racers
are buying Dorman bolts over the counter most of the time.
