Thanks for all the suggestions.
I paid with a money order.
I had a bad experience when pay pal first started so they are no longer an
option for me. They took money out of my account by mistake and it took me
forever to get the money back in my account. I will say they did make good on
the money and they have changed owners since then. I know a lot of people who
have real good luck with them so I am not badmouthing them.
I am out 48 dollars for the item with shipping. I paid another 9 to ship it
back. With the cost of the tracking and money order I am out over $60. Don't
get me wrong...I do not expect all the money I spent back. I just want the
original amount for the item. I will still be out money just for dealing with
him. I thought the guy was OK because he has 1875 transactions with 98%
positive feed back. I guess I should have checked his feed back closer because
he has 40 negative. 17 of his neg feed backs are in the last 12 months. The
others say he was hard to get a hold of and about the same complaints I have
about him. See for yourself: Member Profile: bugeyev8

His name in Brian Marshall and lives in San Leandro, Ca.
He seemed to be an OK guy when I wrote him about the Judson Coil I got from
him. His description said it was working when it came off a bug eye. When it
got to me it was leaking the cooling oil solution from a hole on the back of
the coil. Not shown in the picture on Ebay. So I wrote him about the Coil. I
told him I did not think it was any good. He offered the refund on the item so
I sent it back. He wrote me 3 times saying he was sending the money since the
original transaction on January 16th, 2005. You know the old "checks in the
mail" routine. If send 5 emails in five weeks. I am lucky to get one back. I
even called his contact number. He does not live where the phone in located and
is using some one elses address for contact information on ebay. I told him I
was going to turn him in for mail fraud and when He responded: "there is no
need to file mail fraud charges because if you do, I will win there was no
fraud here" If he does win it will only be because I finally got my
money. I am not sure if he realizes it is a federal offence. He is very
unresponsive and seems to be arrogant about the whole matter.
The bottom line is: I am going to file the mail fraud charges with the post
office, Report him to the Better Business Bureau and I am even thinking of
turning him into the IRS for not claiming the money he made on Ebay. I am sure
he did not report it because he did not charge tax on the item bought and I
live in California. If any one knows him you might want to tell him I am
getting ready to go full out on him if I do not get my money in the next few
days. I do not back stab and I have even bcc'd him on this email. So he has
been warned for the last time.
