Gang,
Today I had the Midget out for a run of around 50 miles ("Life is
Good"!!). On the way home, I had to stop and pick up meds at the
Walgreen's driveup window. While sitting there waiting with the engine
idling for about 10 minutes, the temperature gauge started going up
and the engine eventually stalled though it didn't seem to ever get
really hot. I mean, there was still some room on the gauge. Since the
ambient air temperature was about 63F (17C) I was really surprised
that it heated up that much. Once I started moving again it cooled
right back to normal (around 160F). Now it's got me wondering about
this summer. It gets hot out here on the high plains. 100+F at times.
Any suggestions on how I'm gonna keep this thing cool when sitting at
traffic lights or trapped in city traffic?
Cheers!!
