Definitely use a MIG for this Monty, Either plug welds with a flanged lap joint or but a joint Personally I would go with the but joint as I hate to have lap joints. You will find a die grinder with the cut off disk invaluable. Carefull drilling out old spot welds, carefull marking and cutting and you should have no problems. Just be sure to take it slow and not heat warp the panels at all. Duncan |
