For those of you with experience you already know what this post is about. For
the rest let me tell you. I was rebuilding my dual circuit Master Cylinder
(MC) and I needed to take off that spring clip that holds on the big return
spring. The correct way is to use two small pliers and move it up slightly
and then work it off and into your hand.
My way, the incorrect way was to grab on one end and torque it up and off.
The problem is that once it cleared the pushrod, "BOING" that little @#%$^&@
shot across the garage. I heard it hit the wall or ceiling and them maybe
the door. Anyway I can't find the sucker.
The problem is that my rebuild kit does not come with one of those retaining
clips. Where does one get a spare, or am I curse to spend the nights
crawling around the garage floor?
I guess these are the lesson you learn and remember that make the next rebuild
easier. Next step is to screw the bore trying to get that heavy nylon
washer :-)
