I had a slow leak from a Michelin Pilot tire on an old 3 series bmw. The
nail I found in it was about 1 inch from the shoulder of the tire. Took the
tire off and to a Goodyear tire store to have it repaired (its close to
work). He told me he couldn't fix it because it's a speed rated tire and
the puncture was too close to the sidewall.
Is this right or was he trying to sell me a new tire? I took my tire and
left.
