Well, you can flush and install DOT 4--most of the guys on here, including
myself, swear by Castrol LMA Brake Fluid. You can't mix DOT 3/4 and Silicone,
so
if you are going that route you have to flush out the lines, MC, and wheel
cylinders very well. I have heard of draining out the lines then flushing them
out with alcohol, then blowing them out and letting them dry before
siliconing. Good to change out the old fluid anyway if you have really old
brake fluid
in the lines. But I think if you are leaking there may be a physical problem
you are going to have to address. You might have a scratch in the bore if
you have already rebuilt it. Did you hone out the bore before you replaced the
seals? Best is to pull and dissassemble it and send it to Joe Way in
California for a brass insert and rebore. I understand that is fairly
permanent.
