At Grattan this weekend, I had what I believe to have
been point float at (very) high RPM (the 4.55 rear
giveth, and the 4.55 taketh away, I guess). Anyway, I
have a Crane XR700 that I haven't installed, leaving
me the only points car I can find in VSCDA, but I
digress. I use a Bosch Blue coil, which several have
told me is the best you can use for all practical
purposes. Bosch sez the coil is not for electronic
ignitions, several websites (such as
www.product-finder.net/ireland/Bosch-Blue-Coil.html )
say it's the best for the Crane. Is the Blue only a
problem for the cheatin'est dog HE stuff? Anyone using
this combo? Anyone blow up their XR700 trying?
