Hello Chris,

       the easiest way to keep battery corrosion down is to buy (oh
       no, bad word!  LOL) those CHEAP little felt washers (a pair,
       one red, one green) that they sell wherever they sell batteries
       and put them on the battery terminals.

       cheap and effective. ... !

       you might, also, before installing them, get one of those cute
       battery terminal brush/cleaner things and get rid of the junk
       that's there now.
