Hello ,
i saw a Ford Capri V-6 shoehorned into one all the Portland OR
ABMF in 2003. the guy was a real craftsman as i looked like it
belonged. it had NOT been an easy fit.. i recall some sort of
U-joint affair because he had to offset the steering column
around the engine. ... ...
if it were me, (and it most definetely is NOT me) one of the
important considerations would be to find an engine that didn't
WEIGH much more, if at all, than the A series .. otherwise the
delicate feeling of driving the car would go away. :-(
a Rover (nee Buick) v-8? all aluminum? ... speaking of which, i
read that the tooling for that engine finally gave out and there
will be NO MORE MADE! .. the tooling for the FORD CLEVELAND 351
gave out down in australia a couple of years back, so there will
be no more of THOSE either... ford USA had ordered a run of 100
for some (racing?) project, and the tooling gave out at number
61.
