An MSD-5 will, I know for sure. I had one on our '69 Sprite, and the current owner still uses it. But the MSD-5 is an inductive set up where the 6 is capacitive, but I think that only makes a difference on the coil side, not the triggering side. Both say they will trigger from points, so that is why I thought in the first place that the tach would still work.
