Cyrille...sincerely....
The reasons for tube shock conversions
even existing had to do with the state
of the art, such as it was "back when"
Spridgets popped into our world
armed with Armstrong Lever Shocks
along with the rising costs of new ones
considering you simply could not source
GOOD "rebuilds" though their price was
about 1/2 (more or less) the price of new.
Thanx to Peter C., the latter "problem"
has been sol-ved due to advances in
materials (seals, bushings, etc.) along
with a conscientious attitude toward
getting the job done properly.
Peter can also valve them to your tastes.
(soft, hard or in between!:).
In the years I've been on the list, I haven't
heard anything but praise for the way
Peter's lever shock rebuilds ride (better
than new) and just as importantly....last
over time/use.
