interesting concept... .. and food for thought.....
seatbelts weren't mandatory equipment in automobiles until 1968
and so far (we've been here before, i know) they can't make you
retrofit safety equipment into cars. ...
now, if one were to be pulled over while sitting on a milk
crate for seat, and not belted in, pulled over that is for NOT
wearing a belt, they couldn't ticket you (tho they could try,
it SHOULDN'T stick) for not wearing a belt. ... they could
however for not having the "seat" bolted down... BUT that may
or may not stick, since the reason for which one was pulled
over for in the first place was NOT a legitimate reason.
...???????!???!!!
it might take a really good lawyer to sort through the mess and
be more expensive that just paying the ticket tho...
