Not a Mitsushitsi. The 2.2 was a Chrysler built engine to replace the VW
and Peugot engines from the early Chrysler Europe Horizons when they
came to America. Those motors can go a good 200,000 and take a lot of
abuse. My Shelby Charger has 179,000 on it and suffered a piston melt
down from too much turbo boost and a faulty fuel pressure regulator. I
have it rebuilt and ready to go back in the car. The later Common block
2.2/2.5 turbo cars came with forged cranks and pistons in them. At
175hp, it's a great motor to drop in a Spridget.
