Yesterday, the depth of this list was once again reinforced. I asked for
help from UK listers and I must say that I am moved by the number of
responses to my request for assistance from friends in the mother
country. I got so many offers of help that I decided I would send a
collective THANK YOU directly to the list.

As it turns-out my request was premature and I found someone that will
ship directly to me in the U.S. so as to avoid inconveniencing you 3rd
party friends.

Again, thanks so very much!
Jay,

I have to echo that I had a very similar experience when I was considering an
ebay.uk purchase. I do hope I thanked everyone. I had offers that included
receiving the goods and reposting them to me in the US, and one that offered
to bring it to me in May when he visits Texas.

There is a general place in your brain, I think, reserved for 'melancholy of
relationships past.' It grows and prospers as life progresses, forcing you
finally, against your better judgment, to listen to country music.
