Oh YEAH! My plumber bought some Ryobi tools last year, I saw him toss
them in the bay after a week or so.
I did have a Ryobi drill but it caught fire. And I mean flames were
coming out of the trigger. And my Ryobi was an old jap made one, not
those new chink made pieces of crap.
I love it when I happen across a tool rep hawking his chinese tools, I
took a new Hitachi circular saw and bent the shoe plate in front of the
guy. Then I said, no thanks, it's just cheap chinese junk.
It doesn't matter what you buy today, it's all crap so I just stopped
buying. It's all just for decoration today, not meant to be used just to
look good on a work bench. Impress your neighbors with "look what I
got!" shiny tools that don't work.
