Tonight, while working around
the house, I found an unusual
use for a speedo cable.
The bathtub drain was very
slow this morning. Before I
took off to defensive driving
class, I removed the screen,
and pulled out enough hair
that is looked like I had
removed a small rat from the
drain.
Upon returning home, I was
told that the tub would not
drain. This was puzzling, as
it was at least moving slow
that a.m.
I tried a plunger, and hair
clog remover, to no avail. The
drain just would not move.
I then remembered that I had a
speedo cable in the garage. I
removed it from the sheath,
and fed it into the drain. I
hooked it on some more clog,
but still nothing. I had a
corner where it wouldn't go
around, and I still had about
2 feet of the cable out of the
drain. So I got a small
section of copper tubing, to
contain the extra length, and
attached it to a drill. It fed
down into the drain, and got
the last of the clog. VIOLA,
project completed!!
SO, moral of the story, tell
your SO that you NEED to buy
that parts car, for the
multitude of uses it offers
around the house!!!
