Not sure on the B base vs the Midget base, but the Midget one fits a Jag
XJ6.
Instead of polishing which tends to melt ABS, try that flexi black spray
paint available at any auto store. Semi or gloss black.
I did have good luck polishing up a stock shift knob (bugeye) but I
painted it with semi gloss flexi black first then lightly hit it to the
buffing wheel. Nice and shiny!
